No — and this is important.
Diclofenac is the active ingredient in Moov, Volini and Voveran. The US FDA has placed a black box warning — its highest safety alert — on all diclofenac products for three reasons:
Heart: Increases risk of heart attack and stroke within the first few weeks of use. A Lancet study (2013, 280,000 patients) found diclofenac carries cardiovascular risk similar to Vioxx — the painkiller pulled worldwide after causing an estimated 88,000 heart attacks.
Kidney: Reduces blood flow to the kidneys. Regular use can cause kidney damage and worsen existing kidney disease.
Stomach: Causes ulcers and GI bleeding in 1–2% of users within 3–6 months — often without warning.
These risks apply to diclofenac gels too, not just tablets. The gel absorbs into the bloodstream through skin.
Raahat contains none of this.
